Log Haven
Brunch-lovers around the valley have been rejoicing since Log Haven started serving brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, making a journey up Millcreek Canyon an easy choice for Dad’s special day. The a la carte menu here is filled with plenty of savory and sweet standouts. Reservations recommended.
Salt Lake Bees ballpark nosh
Sundays at the ballpark are pretty lovely in South Jordan, and treating dad to a loaded hot dog and a cold beer sounds like a delightful way to spend Father’s Day. On June 21, the Salt Lake Bees are at home taking on the Tacoma Rainiers. Game tickets available here.
STK Steakhouse
For a top-shelf steak experience, treat dad to a meal at STK Steakhouse, where for a limited run in July they’re featuring their exclusive Slickhorn Wagyu program featuring Utah-raised beef from Slickhorn Ranch (yes the one owned by Austin Post, aka Post Malone “Slickhorn Daddy”). Gather the whole fam for Urban Hill’s brunch buffet, served 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hearty offerings include herb-crusted Prime Rib, Creekstone Farms burger sliders, chicken n’ waffles with bourbon maple syrup, and a slew of savory and sweet options. $75 per adult, $35 for kids (ages four and younger complimentary). Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, Remington Hall
Keep the decision-making to a minimum and enjoy a multicourse prix fixe menu at Remington Hall at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley. Pick from appetizers like smoked trout rillettes, caprese salad or beef carpaccio; the surf or turf mains include a choice of scallops, filet mignon or aged New York strip. Park City favorite Grub Steak is hosting a multicourse Father’s Day dinner the evening of June 21. From their presser, the prix fixe meal includes: “A choice of baby romaine Caesar salad or wild rice & mushroom soup, choice of side, aged 14oz New York steak with green peppercorn demi-glaze, and choice of house made dessert.” $72 per person; reservations available here.
Foundry Grill at Sundance Resort
While the resplendent Sunday brunch at the Foundry Grill is always a go-to for celebrations of all kinds, this year for the bustling Father’s Day brunch (seatings from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) they’re featuring a BBQ-inspired lineup of favorites. If a poolside BBQ sounds like your ideal way to dine on Dad’s Day, the team at Waldorf Astoria are pulling together a joint Summer Solstice and Father’s Day celebration called “Ridgeline & Flame.” Details from the restaurant: “From noon to 4 p.m., Guest Chef Gustavo Pinet and Executive Chef Stuart Roger bring the bold, fire-driven flavors of Los Cabos and summer in the Wasatch to an afternoon poolside. Head Mixologist David Hernandez curates specialty cocktails and agave spirits available à la carte.” Reservations are a must.
