What: Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love

What: 4 Common Corners: Hidden Life Exhibition
When: March 9, 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Where: SLCC South Campus
What’s happening: Composed of twelve fiber artists residing in the Four Corners states (Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah), this art show explores the connection of the mundane with the exalted.

What: Zara Larsson: Midnight Sun Tour 2026
When: March 10, 7 p.m.
Where: Union Event Center
What’s happening: Celebrating her first #1 US Spotify chart hit in 2026, Zara Larsson is stopping by Salt Lake on her US tour.
One Cool Thing: Zara Larsson won Sweden’s Got Talent when she was ten.
What: March Meet N’ Eat
When: March 10, 11:30 a.m.
Where: Gary’s Asian Bistro
What’s happening: Explore a local restaurant and meet members of the Millcreek community at this city-hosted event.
One Cool Thing: Networking is free, but Millcreek is asking visitors to pay for their meals to support local businesses.
Wednesday, March 11
What: History On Tap: Johnny Appleseed Day
When: March 11, 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Where: Scion Cider
What’s happening: This event traces modern cider to its roots in frontier orchards. Learn who Johnny Appleseed was, and listen to special guest speaker and Certified Pommelier Matthew Ostrander.
One Cool Thing: Don’t worry—this event features great tastings.
What: Stitch & Bitch at Lovebound Library
When: March 11, 6 p.m.
Where: Lovebound Library
What’s happening: A self-proclaimed “yap session” awaits you at Lovebound Library with crafts to keep your hands busy and new friends in droves.

Thursday, March 12
What: Honeybee Swarms and Splits – Intermediate Beekeeping Lecture
When: March 12, 6 p.m.
Where: Rice Eccles Stadium
What’s happening: Are you a beekeeping enthusiast? Take advantage of this class and pick up specialized skills from experts. Make sure you register ahead of time, as walk-ins will not be admitted.

What: American Idiot

Where: Grand Theatre Company
What’s happening: A high-octane rock opera? We’ll see you there. Experience a performance like no other at this unique jam-out.

Friday, March 13
What: Chegoya
When: March 13, 8 p.m.
Where: Urban Lounge
What’s happening: Chegoya is a local Jazz fusion band founded at the University of Utah. Catch a debut of their latest tracks up close and personal at Urban Lounge this Friday.
One Cool Thing: Sound familiar, but you’ve never heard them perform? Chegoya is named after a beloved, now-closed convenience store by West High School.
What: Nostalgia Con
When: March 13 – 14
Where: The Salt Palace
What’s happening: Bring your childhood back to life at this convention. Littered with celebrities, panels, and nostalgic TV show discussions, you’re sure to awaken your imagination.
One Cool Thing: This event also features anime voice actors from your very favorite shows.
Saturday, March 14
What: Frank Caliendo
When: March 13 – 14, 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Where: WiseGuys Comedy Club
What’s happening: One of ESPN’s beloved entertainers is coming to you this week. Experience Frank Caliendo’s standup comedy routines live and in person at WiseGuys Comedy Club.
One Cool Thing: Frank Caliendo spent 10 years on Fox NFL Sunday Pregame prior to his time working at ESPN.
What: Candlelight Concert: Coldplay and Imagine Dragons
When: March 14, 8:30 p.m.
Where: Salt Lake Masonic Temple
What’s happening: These pop bands only get better on strings. Immerse yourself in an evening of familiar music.

What: The 49th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 14, 11 a.m.
Where: The Gateway
What’s happening: Join one of Salt Lake City’s most cherished community traditions as it traipses through The Gateway in a festive display of Irish pride.
One Cool Thing: 2026’s theme is A Celtic Odyssey. Stop by the Siamsa festival at the Olympic Plaza for more cultural festivities afterward.
Sunday, March 15
What: A Red Carpet Affair
When: March 15, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Where: Utah Film Center
What’s happening: Join Utah Film Center for a red carpet affair and a live stream of the Academy Awards ceremony. There will be appetizers, a popcorn and candy bar, specialty refreshments, and entertainment.
One Cool Thing: This event is a fundraiser for local children’ s arts.
