Delicate Watercolor Florals – Paint like Gary Bukovnik 

We’re excited to turn our focus to an incredible modern artist: Gary Bukovnik! 

Born and educated in Cleveland and now based in San Francisco, Bukovnik has created a remarkable body of work featuring lush, expressive watercolor florals. He is widely celebrated as a master watercolorist, known for his vibrant use of color, sensual compositions, and dynamic energy. 

His paintings strike a beautiful balance between immediacy and elegance, transforming flowers into vivid meditations on life, beauty, and abundance. Each piece captures both the delicacy and intensity of the natural world, giving his work a powerful and lasting presence. 

In this session, we’ll explore Bukovnik’s approach to composition and color, and create your own floral watercolor paintings inspired by his expressive style. 
All materials are provided and all skill levels are welcome.
