Hour Media, the nation’s largest publisher of city and regional magazines, seeks a driven media sales professional to lead advertising sales for our Utah portfolio. This role covers print, digital, and event sponsorships across our trusted brands. The position focuses on helping businesses reach their target audiences through high-profile platforms while building lasting client relationships. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, skilled in consultative selling, and motivated to contribute to the continued growth of these publications.
Job responsibilities include:
- Research and cold call prospective advertisers
- Ongoing high level of sales activity (phone calls, e-mails, networking, face-to-face meetings, virtual meetings)
- Effectively articulate and communicate the marketing opportunities available to help companies reach target audiences
- Speaking daily to industry professionals
- Develop proposals
- Introducing our brands to new partners
- Manage and track sales activity
- Regular local and regional travel
- Achieve revenue and activity goals
Qualifications
- Relentless work ethic
- Ability to work effectively from home office
- Proven sales success
- Effective sales skills, negotiation techniques, and superior communication skills are essential to the job
- A proven ability to plan, develop and implement sales strategies that produce results is necessary
- Ability to develop custom marketing proposals and ideas
