Ciders of the World: French Cidre

July 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$84.00

Taught by Matthew Ostrander, Utah’s only Certified Pommelier and one of 100 in the world.

France is well-known for its rich wine culture, but traditional French Cidre has also been a staple of agricultural regions in Normandy and Bretagne for hundreds of years. Heirloom apple varietals, climate, terroir, production techniques, and resulting end products contribute to unique styles endemic to each region, complementing the rich food culture and local palates. You’ll explore a range of ciders from French estates that have produced biodynamic and organic ciders for centuries.

This class takes place in person at Scion Cider Bar (916 Jefferson St W, SLC). Special fee is for cider and space rental; students may purchase additional charcuterie boards and snacks for pairing. Must be 21 or over to attend; please bring an ID.
