Red Butte Winter Solstice Fest 2010

Red Butte Garden celebrated the Winter Solstice with families in the Children's Garden for crafts and hot drinks in the morning on Dec. 18. More than 200 guests wandered through the garden where they wore ivy headdresses and made bird-feeders, bee's wax candles and wrote out their winter solstice wish. Fire barrels were set up to keep guests warm outside as they sipped hot chocolate. Join Red Butte Garden for their next big children's events, the Garden Adventures, on Jan. 8 and 22.
