The Utah Pride Center celebrated LGBT pride with the Utah Pride Parade, which made its way across 200 South in SLC on June 3. This year's grand marshal was Dustin Lance Black, a gay rights activist and filmmaker, who wrote the film Milk, along with many others. Entries in this year's parade ranged from roller derby girls to Mormons Building Bridges, which showed support for the LGBT community with more than 300 members marching in the parade. The festival, which featured a new jazz lounge this year, was held at the City County Building from June 1–3.
