"Few Words" screening

French skier Candide Thovex screened his film about his life and world travels, Few Words, at The Tower at Rice Eccles Stadium on Nov. 29. Earlier that day, Thovex signed posters for fans at Bodeen Ski Shop and later at The Tower. More than 850 people came to the event, making it the largest held by Utah Freeskier Society. Along with the Society, which promotes skiing on the University of Utah campus, the event was presented by Quiksilver, Faction Skis, Bodeen Sports and ASUU. Guests enjoyed free Vitamin Water and a raffle for two pairs of skis, poles and helmets signed by Thovex. The film was recently screened at the Whistler Film Festival in Whistler, Canada. After the event, Utah Freeskier Society officers celebrated a successful event at Hires Big H.
