Make-A-Wish Rubber Ducky Derby 2011

More than 10,000 rubber ducks were raced around the Lindon Aquatics Center for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah's Rubber Ducky Derby on Aug. 20. The winning duck was sponsored by Nick Corral, who won a $15,000 credit to any Mark Miller Auto Group dealership. Allen Handy from KBER 101 hosted the event, and local mascots from the Salt Lake Bees, Utah Blaze and Utah Grizzlies, along with Make-A-Wish's giant duck mascot Puddles, entertained the children. Local wish children and their families from the past five years were given free entry to the park. Make-A-Wish is calculating the proceeds, but anticipates about $60,000.
