Rolex/Trieste Reception

Retired Navy Captain, Don Walsh, and his crew strapped a Rolex Deepsea watch to the hull of a bathyscape Trieste and took it 35,795 feet into the depths of the ocean 50 years ago. The watch still survives, and OC Tanner's SLC store displayed it for guests at a reception on Oct. 27. Walsh told the story of his voyage, and guests had an up-close view of the watch, which has technology sill seen in the brand's dive watches.
