People of all ages gathered together at This is the Place Heritage Park on July 2 and 4 to celebrate the 4th of July weekend. Fun games were provided for children and teens, some of which included panning for gold, stick horse races and tug of war. Surrounded by good food and activities, the kids had a blast—especially when they brought out the candy cannon. This is the Place provides their entertainment throughout the rest of the year with pony rides, train rides, and opportunities to experience what daily life was like for Utah's early settlers.
