Nordic combined skier Billy Demong and speed skater Derek Parra were among the Olympians supporting the Youth Winter Sports Alliance at the JANS Winter Welcome held at the Silver Lake Lodge in Deer Valley on Oct. 27. NBC contributor Paul Hochman and Olympian Shannon Bahrke were the night’s masters of ceremonies, and the evening’s live auction was hosted by Richard O’Keef. Guests enjoyed a silent auction and pairings of wine, cuisine by Chef Clark Norris and meeting the athletes. More than $375,000 was raised at the event for the Youth Winter Sports Alliance’s programs.
