Catholic Community Services of Utah celebrated 65 years of service to the community and held the Humanitarian Awards Dinner at the Little America Hotel on Nov. 10. "65 Years of Stories" was the theme, and volunteers, staff and clients told their stories about the program dating back to the 1940s. About 600 guests enjoyed the awards ceremony and dinner hosted by KSL-TV's Carole Mikita, and singer Sara Larsen gave a closing performance. New Episcopalian Bishop Right Reverend Scott B. Hayashi was welcomed, and Most Reverend John C. Wester was named Humanitarian of the Year for his work as chair of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Migration.
