2012 Humanitarian Awards Dinner

Catholic Community Services held their annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner, celebrating individuals whose efforts help those facing hunger, poverty, homelessness, addiction and displacement, at the Little America on Nov. 7. In addition to honoring these incredible individuals, $100,000 was raised to help struggling families and individuals become self-sufficient. Honorees included Employee of the Year, Raul Yumul; Unsung Hero, Florence Holtshouser; Humanitarians Robert C. and Wendy R. Steiner of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Catholic Woman's League; Humanitarians of the Year, President Dieter F. and Harriet R. Uchtdorf; and Partner of the Year Mark Franken of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Most Reverend John C. Wester and humanitarian Pamela J. Atkinson gave keynote speeches, and The Madeleine Choir performed a stunning musical number.
