Girls Scouts of Utah 100th Anniversary

Leigh Anne Tuohy, whose family inspired the film The Blind Side, gave the keynote speech at the Girl Scouts of Utah’s 100th anniversary gala at the Hilton Hotel in SLC on Oct. 12. Close to 400 guests came to the black tie celebration, raising $150,000 for local Girl Scouts’ programs. Other speakers were Girl Scouts of Utah CEO Cathleen Sparrow, Miss Media Girl Scout Kiley Matthews and Board Chair Debbie Nielson. Local media, businesses and politicians attended the event, showing the Girl Scouts’ presence and support in Utah is on the rise.
