Fashion Place Mall's Retro Fashion Party

To celebrate 40 years of business, Fashion Place Mall held a week of events, including the Retro Fashion Party on Oct. 19. The highlight of the night was the Retro Fashion Show, featuring looks from 1972 gradually transformed to 2012. The '70s vibe was extended at the mall with Flashback Fashion displays, a 1972 Volkswagen Beetle on display and a '70s themed party. Days before the party, Fashion Place held the Morning of Memories, when six stores that had been with the mall since its founding were honored and the Mall of Memories wall, which featured shoppers' photos of Fashion Place Mall over the years, opened. Other events included a meet and greet for five popular fashion bloggers and their fans as well as a birthday party for children effected by cancer.
