KUED Edwardian Gala

KUED's first Edwardian-style dinner, inspired by the PBS series Downton Abbey, sold out at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts on Jan. 5. The evening featured a string quartet, period ballroom dancers and cardboard cutouts of the Grantham family for guests to pose for photos. Attire was black tie or period costume, and guests also enjoyed Edwardian cocktails and hors d'ourves before a five-course period dinner, prepared by Utah Food Services. The highlight of the evening was a one hour sneak peek at the third season of Downton Abbey and prize drawing in the museum's auditorium. The night ended at the museum's cafe for petit fours and coffee. About $25,000 was raised for KUED's programming.
