And, They’re Off! The Madeleine Choir School’s Bid for the Kentucky Derby

The Madeleine Choir School raised nearly $200,000 at the Bid for the Kentucky Derby event at the Salt Palace Convention Center on May 5. Guests enjoyed auctions, which included a trip to the Kentucky Derby, and were encouraged to wear their "Kentucky Derby" hats. Hors d' oeuvres were served, along with drinks at an open bar featuring the evening's signature drink, the mint julep. Dinner included a London broil and salmon fillet with mushroom risotto. The event started in the early evening, but nearly 100 guests stayed on the dance floor until midnight. Next year's event is the first week of May.
