Sales:

Associate Account Executive

Salt Lake Magazine is looking for an energetic, self-driven sales oriented individual to maximize selling magazine space and digital products to clients within the Wasatch Front.  The job will require cold calling, prospecting, database coordination, and superior customer service to new or existing clients. Must be willing and comfortable to make numerous calls on the phone and make personal visits to businesses on a daily basis.  This position is sales-based, and applicants should exhibit proven sales models and the ability to close deals on a weekly basis.  The position is salary plus commission with the added benefit of earning income each time a client renews advertising.

Requirements:
Applicants should have strong communication and phone skills as well as the ability to demonstrate print and digital media to potential clients.  Prior sales experience is preferable. but not required.  Must provide own transportation.

Internships:

Editorial:
This is a writing and reach intensive internship, and our interns work between 2-4 days a week and write weekly stories for the web as well as contribute to the print issue. Interns will assist editors with research, story prep and other projects critical to publishing a bimonthly magazine. Interns may also occasionally be asked to assist with projects for sister magazines Utah Bride & Groom and Utah Style & Design.

The ideal candidate is a journalism, or english major and will be able to receive school credit. Art:
Same as above except art and graphic design based. Interns work directly with the Art Director and the Assistant Art Director.

Marketing:

Salt Lake magazine has intern positions for PR & Marketing. This is a 2 day a week internship which includes set up, planning, and implementation of events for all three magazines. Also includes writing for ad copy and marketing efforts for the magazines including contests and giveaways.

The ideal candidate is a communications, or marketing major and will be able to receive school credit. Video:
Salt Lake magazine is seeking part-time, unpaid video interns for the Spring 2013 semester. This is a new internship program, creating videos for Salt Lake magazine, Utah Style and Design, and Utah Bride & Groom. Content will appear on magazine websites.
