Don’t call them kids’ books. Utahns can’t seem to get enough of Twilight, The Hunger Games and other teen fiction—and we’re just talking about the grown-ups.

Sure, when The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2 hits theaters, there will be plenty of screaming teen fans around. 

But it will be the adults who help our local theaters outsell those on the East and West Coasts. Leading up to the eventful night, these older fans will relive the romance in literary form, as bookstore sales spike and library wait lists shoot up. It was the same story when The Hunger Games film hit theaters early this year and middle-grade fiction Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two the year prior. So, take a close look at that long line of Twihards waiting to get in the theater before the midnight premiere on Nov. 16, and don’t be surprised if the moms outnumber the daughters.
