Who Wants The Story?

Usually ski films premiere at the beginning of the season to get the juices flowing and our excitement amped. Such was the case for "The Story" which screened at Brewvies last October. But now that we're halfway through the season it seems like a pretty damn great time to remind you why we skiers would like three more months of winter thank you, please. So "The Story's" back for an encore performance this weekend at the Jim Santy Auditorium in Park City. Read More

Gear Review- Yakima LoPro Titanium Skybox 15

I couldn't get into the underground parking garage at Salt Lake Magazine's office yesterday. That was a surprise as I can drive into practically every garage - even with a cargo box on top of my SUV. You're laughing. No seriously I have an SUV with a cargo box and I park in parking garages. I don't like parking on the street. It costs money or there's a time limit; or both. I like garages. Help Send Me To Markewitz Camp

Ever since I heard the name Scott Markewitz, I've been intrigued. As far as ski photographers go this Utahn is the man. Nearly every cover of every ski publication is shot by him, he travels the world and makes his subjects rock stars in their field. When I first moved to Utah I met him at his home with my portfolio. I thought he'd be duly impressed and call me when he needed a ski model. He never did. I chalked it up to the long waitlist of freeskiers hoping to be made famous and moved on; never taking it personally. Well, 20 years later he's offering up the opportunity to get behind the lens and see and do what he does. Read More

Celeb For A Day at Sundance 2011

I feel like Cinderella after the ball. Except this Cindy is tired and extremely happy that not only has the ball ended for the night, it won't be spinning as crazy for another year. The day began with a stop at the TMG/IT Brands Luxury Lounge and Spa. The mindset was more of a courtesy call than pursuing a swagfest as the location was located in a home outside of Deer Valley's Silver Lake Village and I had never heard of the brands representing.
