The Craft Lake City DIY Festival is an outdoor event featuring over 200 local vendors and exhibitors who specialize in handcrafted art in a variety of mediums, including silk-screened posters, progressive crafts, reconstructed clothing, jewelry, letter-pressed books, up-cycled vintage goods, craft food and drink, handmade furniture and more.

This year marks the third year for the science and technology element of the festival, which highlights local DIY engineers. They will be showcasing items handmade and programmed using electronic tools and computers, including: speaker systems, 3D printers, robotics, LED lighting displays, video games and other techy inventions.

Over 50 local performers will provide entertainment during the festival on the Main Stage and the 90.9FM KRCL Stage. Entertainment includes bands, solo acts, modern dance groups, belly dance groups and street performers.

The 2014 festival will take place on Friday, Aug. 8 from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 9 from noon to 10 p.m. at the Gallivan Center.
