This weekend’s FantasyCon isn’t just for geeks, it’s for families.

Whether you’re there to meet a Hobbit, check out the vendors or see the three-story dragon, make sure the kids are there to experience it with you. Kids ages 10 and younger get in free (and you cans still get your ticket here).

Here are a few of the kid-friendly things to do at FantasyCon:

On Friday, July 4 at 8:30 a.m., take them to see the FantasyCon Parade at The Gateway. At 12 p.m., kids can sign up for the Youth Cosplay Contest at the actual convention in the Salt Palace. Learn why comic books are actually good for your kids’ brains on July 4, 1 p.m. End your FantasyCon adventure with fireworks at The Gateway, July 5 at 9:30 p.m.
