The Utah Symphony, which beginning in August will present a series of free concerts in Utah’s Mighty Five national parks, has commissioned contemporary American composer Nico Muhly to write a piece inspired by Southern Utah’s national parks and landscapes. The commission will be performed during the 2015-16 season—coinciding with the 75th anniversary celebrations of the orchestra.

Muhly has created music with the Chicago Symphony, The Metropolitan Opera and New York Philharmonic. And if Muhly's creative use of hair product isn't enough to prove he's totally cool, he collaborated with Icelandic popstar Björk on Oceania.
