It's the month of May and that means Salt Lake magazine's annual food-and-wine festival is close at hand. On May 29 and 30, downtown SLC will turn into a taster's paradise.

Besides the Stroll, where ticket holders meander from restaurant to restaurant, enjoying a sip and a bite at downtown restaurants, and beside the Gallivan Avenue walk of noshes, this year's Tastemakers features a VIP pavilion produced by Frida Bistro.

Tastemakers is fun. A fiesta is fun. Now imagine the two combined via the imagination of Jorge Fierro, who dreamed up Rico's Foods and Frida Bistro, two of the most successful food enterprises to come out of our Beehive.

A colorful lounge area, twinkling lights, a special sangria (plus nonalcoholic drinks) and the full Frida's brunch spread, including Huevos Benedictos–a spicy Mexican makeover of eggs benedict. Plus all the sides.
