Southern Utah University is performing Bat Boy: The Musical, just in time for Valentine's Day. Not particularly romantic, this musical will have you in stitches as it provides intelligent wit, a wacky plot and powerhouse numbers like "Comfort and Joy" and "Three Bedroom House."

Bat Boy centers on a rural Virginia family whose life is turned upside down when they invited a deformed humanoid creature, whom they name Edgar, to live with them. Director Brad Carroll is excited to bring Utah this daring musical touching on subjects like bullying, religious hypocrisy and revenge, while begging the question: "Who (or what) is the real beast?"

Join SUU for the hilarious and insightful musical Feb. 6–8 and 13–15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Randall L. Jones Theater in Cedar City.

Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children. The musical does have some adult content.
