Liz and Dave Findlay, owners of Albion Fit & Albion Apparel

New Year’s resolutions have us scrambling for the gym, but there's no need to neglect your fashion sense while you shed the holiday ham. Local business Albion Fit specializes in flattering fitness wear and swimsuits for fitness gurus and newbies alike.

Owners Liz and Dave Findlay have a background in sewing and fabrics, and Albion is how the couple combines their expertise with their love of fitness. After delivering twins and trying to lose baby weight, Liz was discouraged by the lack of flattering fitness wear on the market. Now, Albion’s goal is to create fitness wear that looks good and feels comfortable while reaching your fitness goals.

Albion also understands that one style does not fit all. “We offer a pretty wide variety of stuff," Liz says. "You can get a fitted top with ruching or a hoodie that is loose in all the right places.”

The Findlays are careful to recycle and reuse every material possible. Liz explains, “Instead of creating waste from a fabric marker, we make it into a headband or use it as a panel on our next shirt.”

Albion also strives to be active in the community, hosting events and designing uniforms for local tennis teams. “We had a hoodie that was a pullover and the East High School team asked for a full-zip version. It’s now called the East Hoodie,” Liz says.

The company's custom designs will be featured at the Phoenix and Big Cottonwood marathons this year.
