SLC's Downtown Alliance welcomes you to join them at EVE to ring in the new year.

With a three-day festive celebration starting Dec. 29, you can take advantage of a $15 pass that gives you access to explore and experience the magic of Salt Lake City's festive downtown scene.

With nine venues all dedicated to your entertainment, including the New Year's countdown at the Salt Palace, art exhibits at The Leonardo, fun and games at Discover Gateway and Clark Planetarium, festive lights at Temple Square and free admission to the Jazz game against the Charlotte Bobcats on Dec. 30, it's an event you can't miss.

“We wanted to make it more evocative this year, and get a wider array of the public to participate,” says Nick Como, DTA Communications Director. “It's an event that is always unexpected for people, because you're outside and you see a stage of fire with the live music, then you walk into the ballroom and its filled with giant bouncy balls and beach balls—you always find something unexpected.”

About 40,000 attendees are expected for this year's EVE. Join in and celebrate the upcoming new year while discovering a wide range of art exhibits, film screenings, live music, cultural dances and performances, comedy shows and kid-friendly programming all throughout downtown Salt Lake City. Children ages 3 to 9 priced at $5.

The event will culminate, of course, with the New Year's countdown and a promise of one of the best fireworks shows in the city. For more information please visit
