Couples all over Utah finally saw a chance to tie the knot after US District Judge Robert J. Shelby struck down the state's same-sex marriage ban on Friday. With a new definition of Utah weddings, Val Rasmussen, editor of our sister-publication Utah Bride & Groom, was quick to give her readers a sneak peek at Making History, the story of Nathan Judd and Bryan Nash's wedding at the Natural History Museum of Utah.
And the response was huge. Readers retweeted, liked and showed support for the union.
Nathan and Bryan met 10 years ago through mutual friends from hip salon Lunatic Fringe. The ceremony was a celebration of their love with the tagline "Ten years together. Committing to forever."
Because of the enthusiasm over this wedding and in light of recent events, we posted the entire story online, ahead of schedule.
The story will also appear in Utah Bride & Groom's 2014 issue, on newsstands Jan. 1, 2014.
