This year, Salt Lake Comic Con shattered records, becoming the biggest first-year comic con and reaching the top four in attendance in the country.
In 2014, they're planning to go even bigger.

Dan Farr, founder of Salt Lake Comic Con, made two big announcements at The Leonardo on Nov. 14.
First, Salt Lake Comic Con will hold two events this coming year.
From April 17–19, fans will get Salt Lake Comic Con FanXperience (aka Fan X). The event differs from Salt Lake Comic Con, which will take place Sept. 4–6, by including more meet and greets and a kids' area.
The events are both expected to reach over 100,000 in attendance and will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center with double the floor space of the 2013 convention. Farr says his staff will be focusing more on crowd control, and fans will get into the conventions faster.

Farr's second announcement was six of the guests for Fan X in April: Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead), Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Marina Sirtis (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Adam Baldwin (Chuck) and Kelly Hu (Arrow).

Farr says fans can also expect some of the same guests from the 2013 event, because many have requested to come back.
