Twice a year, Poor Yorick Studios opens its doors to the public, in the spring and the fall. It provides an opportunity for art-lovers to interact with more than 50 featured artists. For the Poor Yorick's Fall Open, the studio will be shaking up its usual format.
The event will no longer be on Friday night, as it moves to Saturday evening Sept. 28. Rather than the late-evening routine, Poor Yorick will open its doors for two extra hours, from 4 to 6 p.m. and continue the party until 10 p.m. The time extension will allow viewers to stroll, view and purchase art during a more mellow time in late afternoon.
Special musical guests The Hot Club of Zion will play at the event after 6 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged for the artists and musicians. Poor Yorick is located at 126 Crystal Ave., South Salt Lake.
