Two years ago, Salt Lake lost Kenvin Lyman, an artist with a passion for music, painting and gardening. Lymen was never one to limit his abilities. He was known as a cook, winemaker, organic farmer, singer/songwriter and, of course, an author.

Lyman encapsulated his life work and love of music, art, food and other passions into his book, which was 12 years in the making.

The book is titled Kenvin: An Artist's Kitchen: Food, Art & Wisdom of a Bohemian Cowboy. The King's English Bookshop will be holding a reception to celebrate Lyman's book and his life on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 7–9 p.m. The King's English welcomes artists, musicians, farmers, gardeners, friends and colleagues of Lyman to come and participate.

Participants will be treated with wine and music by Lyman's former band.

The King's English Bookshop is located at 1511 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City. For questions, contact them at 801-484-9100. Click here for more info. Click here for our full story on Lyman's book.
