Earlier this month, we did a post on Zaniac, an after school program first launched in Park City, which is making its way to Sugar House. And the wait is nearly over. On Monday, Aug. 26, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., Zaniac is hosting a free open house for parents, kids and media.

At the Zaniac learning center, located at 1045 E. 2100 South, SLC, kids will have the chance to build robots with LEGO Robotics, learn physical sciences by playing Minecraft and make friends, and actually have fun, while learning mathematics. Programs also include Touch Typing and Chess Exploration. The Zane Math program costs $299 and Zaniac technology, engineering and science programs start at $199.
