Before you know it, the kids will be back in school, the pools will be covered and the sun will set earlier. We've only got about a month of summer left, so get out and enjoy the summer weather before it's gone. Grab a blanket, pop some popcorn and head out to one of these outdoor movie showings in Utah Valley.

But first, here are five tips from a seasoned outdoor-movie watcher:

1. Dusk is around 9 p.m.

2. Go early to secure a good spot (avoid super steep hills, as you'll find yourself sliding down the whole time). Bring cards or chatty friends to pass the time waiting for the sun to go down.

3. Bring extra blankets or a pillow for padding if you want to lie down. If you bring a camp chair, make sure it's comfy enough for a couple hours.

4. Take a jacket or big blankets in case of cooler temps as the night goes on.

5. Don't forget a few extra bucks for concessions (and chair rentals at the SCERA).
