Over 50 top chefs will combine their passion for food with fighting hunger when they converge at Solitude Mountain Resort for the second annual Taste of the Wasatch on Sunday, August 4, where patrons will enjoy the beautiful mountainous outdoors, incomparable cuisine and revel in high spirits while contributing to a worthy cause.
"One in five Utah children is food-insecure or at-risk, meaning they don’t know if they will have food to eat or where their next meal is coming from,” says event organizer, Karen Zabriskie. "Funding this year is more important than ever as demand for food continues to increase."
100 percent of ticket revenue will be donated to Utah Food Bank, Utahns Against Hunger and the Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership- organizations dedicated to the eradication of hunger in Utah children, adults and seniors in the community.
The 1500 expected guests will be treated to cuisine donated from local restaurants, bakeries and brewers including Stein Eriksen Lodge's Giltretind, Log Haven, Les Madelines, Caterina, Zest Kitchen & Bar, Uinta Brewing Co., Rimini Coffee and many more.
The event includes live music by The Staff, as well as a silent auction with prizes such as weekend getaways, resort lodgings and a chance to win a chef for an evening, who will cook a multi-course meal specially for a party of nine.
