A bowl of fresh fruit salsa is a great thing to come home to after a long summer day. Not only is it delicious, but it's light and healthy. West Elm and Craft Lake City are presenting a workshop where you will learn how to make your own bowl.
Liz from Butcher's Bunches, which makes handcrafted jams, will be walking workshop participants through the steps of creating a no cook fruit salsa made with fresh fruits and veggies, purchased from local growers around the city. Each participant will have the opportunity to slice and dice ingredients while they learn steps needed to make their own savory salsa. Participants will leave the workshop with their own salsa and a better understanding of how to create it on their own and what local resources are available to help them through the process.
The workshop series is a step in the right direction for CLC as they strive "to educate, promote and inspire local artisans while elevating the creative culture of the Utah arts community through science, technology and art."
This month's workshop will be held July 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at West Elm in City Creek Center. There is a $10 material fee and registration is required. You can register by clicking here.
