Dewy skin and healthy, glowing hair are two of summer's biggest perks, but in order to have either one, you have to do some legwork in the beauty TLC department. And thanks to Utah's dry climate, more attention is required every month of the year. Thankfully enough, there's a good mix of products that take some of the pain out of the routine. Here's a few picks I've rounded up this month that make it easier to get the glow (or, if necessary, fake it a little.)

Abba Recovery Treatment Conditioner: Available at Ulta

If it's sun and swim damage you're dealing with, this stuff will do the trick if you let it sit a minute after massaging it through your hair. For added repair, pop on a shower cap and let it sit for up to ten minutes. And with the scent of lavender and peppermint, it's therapy for more than just your hair.

Beautyblender Sponge: Available at Sephora

It's typical use is to flawlessly apply foundation and powder, and that's fantastic, but take it one step further and use it to buff away dry skin before applying your daily moisturizer.

TheBalm Cosmetics, Mary-Lou Manizer: Available at Nordstrom

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Versatility, versatility, versatility. That's what it's all about. Not only can this be used as shadow, but it's also dominates as a highlighter and shimmer. Perfect for those minimalist days where a little glow is all you need.

DDF Brightening Cleanser: Available here and at Ulta

Natural skin brighteners make up this foaming cleanser that helps combat skin discoloration and hyperpigmentation, and the best part is a little goes a long way.

Brush on Block Mineral Powder Sunscreen: Available at Amazon

Talk about a genius invention. By now we should all know the importance of reapplying sunscreen throughout the day, especailly when we're spending it in direct sunlight. After your initial cream or spray application, this stuff is easy to apply, and you can even brush it on over makeup because it's colorless. Also use it on the spots where you don't want your sunblock lotion to go, like the part in your hair.
