Kids are not created equal, so find a summer activity as unique as your child. Individual interests and tastes show up early—the first-grader who stares up at the stars, the little girl who insists on staying up late to watch the Westminster Dog Show, the budding ninja who sleeps in his karategi. After spending the rest of the year learning to be well-rounded in the classroom, let summer be the time for your young’un to indulge a fascination. Let summer be the time to geek out.
