Thanksgiving Point Gardens opens for the year, just in time for Easter.
You'll see hundreds of varieties of spring flowers, trees and shrubs, as well as the largest man-made waterfall in the Western Hemisphere. Drop by the Children's Discovery Garden for the splash pad, hedgerow mazes and cave replicas.
Get in for 50 percent off when you get lunch at the Trellis Café at the visitor center first. The offer's valid from March 30 to April 6.
Gardens admission: Monday–Thursday, $10 for adults, $8 for children and seniors. Friday–Saturday, $12 for adults, $10 for children and seniors.
Kids can also get into the Easter spirit with Thanksgivng Point's Eggstreme, which includes an egg hunt, inflatables, face painting, sack races, rides on the cow and grain trains and the Easter Bunny. The event, held at Electric Park, starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $10 for children.
