I just heard from restaurateur Scott Evans that there are a few seats left for tomorrow night's tasting of Bodegas Alzania wine at Finca, (6pm-8pm; tapas $25 / wine $35; RSVP to scott@fincaslc.com) Salt Lake magazine recently recognized Scott with a Dining Award for his imaginative and specialized wine programs. His tastings frequently feature wines not available elsewhere.

But across town at Pallet, Francis Fecteau, another of this year's Dining Award winners, will be hosting a dinner featuring wines from Bucklin in Sonoma Valley, whence comes some of the best zaftic zinfandels in the world.
