Ever been curious to know how much work is put into one costume in a ballet production? How many sequins go here? How low do you drop the waist? What color tights go with that tunic or that tutu?

Ballet West is offering the public a chance to go behind the scenes to get the answers to these questions and more as they announce their first-ever Costume Luncheon on March 9, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown, Salt Lake City. Guests will get an exclusive opportunity to examine some of the ballet company's most beautiful and intricate costumes and to explore the famed costume shop and wardrobe departments. Along with the tour, guests will also receive an education on what it takes to design, make, and maintain these works of art for the cast, and how much wear and tear can be inflicted by just one performance.

The event will be hosted by world-famous costume director David Heuvel. Lunch will be provided. Tickets are $35 per person. For more information, click here, or call 801-869-6917.
