Ten years ago, while Lori Harris played at a park with her pug, Clyde, he formed a friendly attachment with a little girl named Mary Jane. The girl’s free spirit and unforgettable personality was so contagious that Harris was inspired to name her Park City Main Street boutique, you guessed it: Mary Jane's.
Originally, Harris considered opening a wine bar in the Park City area, but instead settled on the idea of a store that showcased her love of shoes.
Now, ten years later, Harris welcomes a constant flow of return customers to her store, which not only features the latest trends in shoes, but also clothes and accessories from a myriad of designers.
“I think people are drawn to the variety of designers and prices they don’t typically find elsewhere.” Harris says. “Our focus is strictly on women’s fashions right now. It’s our strength and really what we’re known for, whether a woman needs a new pair of heels, skinny jeans or a slinky dress for a special occasion.”
Walking into the store you can almost taste the belief that shoes are like handbags and chocolate bars: A woman can never have too many, and the more she has, the happier she is. Whether you're a mountain gal or a city girl, there's a pair of shoes to fit your flare.
In celebration of the store’s 10th anniversary, Mary Jane’s is offering 10 percent off all purchases through the month of February.
“As if people needed one more reason to buy a pretty pair of heels!” Harris jokes.
So hurry in, because the month is more than halfway over!
