Last year, Governor Gary Herbert awarded Utah's athletes, teams and coaches who have been voted the best in their field for the first time. At this year's event, guests will hear from tennis legend Andre Agassi.

He will be the keynote speaker at the Governor's State of Sport Awards on April 16, 2013. From the 1990s to the mid 2000s, Agassi dominated tennis and was recognized as the only man to win the Career Golden Slam and the ATP Tour World Championships. He also won a gold medal at the 1996 Olympics.

Between March 1 and April 8, fans can visit stateofsportawards.com and select their favorite nominee in each category.

Categories include High School Female Athlete, High School Male Athlete, Female Collegiate or Pro Athlete, Male Collegiate Athlete, Male Professional Athlete, Olympian, Team of the Year, Play or Highlight of the Year, Game/Event of the Year and Coach of the Year.

The awards will be held Tuesday, April 16 at the Zion's Bank Basketball Center. For more information about tickets, and this event you can call the Utah Sports Commission at 801-328-2372.
