Bulleit Brand Ambassador Hollis Bulleit, Master of Whiskey Ed Adams and They Die By Dawn Director Jeymes Samuel

Nothing beats a good Western film, especially when an all-star cast is combined with heart-stopping action and an engaging plotline to make an epic, even if short, film experience.

This morning, Salt Lake Magazine was sent an exclusive look at the upcoming short film They Die By Dawn, written and directed by Jeymes Samuel and starring an entirely African-American cast, including Jesse Williams, Michael K. Williams, Isaiah Washington, Nate Parker, Bokeem Woodbine, Clifton Powell, Rosario Dawson, Giancarlo Esposito, and Erykah Badu.

The Bulleit Bourbon preview event, held on Jan. 20, took place in Park City, where the director and several cast members answered questions about the film and talked about their respective characters and roles. Bulleit Bourbon, which is featured extensively in the movie, teamed up with Samuel to provide frontier-inspired cocktails for the preview's attendees, adding a vintage and altogether rustic and very Western feel to the evening.

Set in the gun-slinging town of Langston, Oklahoma, the film centers on four hardened outlaws who all have generous bounties on their heads. They arrange for a shootout with only one rule: There can only be one man standing, and he collects the bounty for them all. It's scheduled to release in March. Check out the trailer below:
