What better day of the year than New Year's Eve to throw on a little glimmer and celebrate? While you're outfitting yourself in shimmer and lace, don't forget to accent your nails with a touch of glitter, too. Skip the nail salon and do it yourself.

Here's what you'll need:

Clockwise from top left:

Solar Oil cuticle oil (available at Classy Chassis Beauty Supply), Out The Door top coat (available at Sally Beauty Supply), solid color nail polish (shown here: Essie, Armed and Ready), loose glitter or dense glitter polish, cuticle stick and small nail file.

Groom and shape nails then paint a solid color. Accent the tips or moons (the area of the nail closest to the cuticle) with a splash of glitter polish for a flirtatious, dimensional look. Or, if you'd prefer, use loose glitter, apply to wet base coat with a thin brush and finish with a clear top coat.

And beacuase we know you'll love this look all year long, here are a few more options for color combos.
