With just a few more shopping days before Christmas, it's probably time for you last-minute shoppers to wrap up (or dare I say start?) your holiday shopping. The shipping time limit for online shopping expired a few days ago, and - from personal experience - the parking lots at the supercenters are packed enough to make you want to rip your hair out, throw your hands up and say forget it.
So, here's an easy solution: skip the supercenter and shop local. Locally owned stores give a personal, friendly vibe that just can't be beat. Not to mention the fact that they carry products you can't find in all the supercenter and big-box stores.
The shopping district at 9th and 9th (900 South and 900 East) is a perfect place for one stop shopping. Unique stores and boutiques with products ranging from bicycles to handbags to clothing and gifts for the whole family.
We stopped into The Children's Hour (898 S. 900 East) for a peek at what makes them a place you should definitely add to your to-do list.
