Every year, thousands of residents and visitors are exposed to Park City’s dining options through three major events that the Park City Area Restaurant Association hosts. The events include the spring and fall Cocktail Contests and Savor the Summit.
Every month they pair up with select restaurants to promote varied menu items, and this holiday season is no exception. Participating restaurants are Bistro 412, Baja Cantina, Cisero’s, Grub Steak, Glitretind Restaurant, Red Rock Brewing and Shabu.
Spend Christmas morning with the Glitretind, which is hosting its signature Christmas brunch. Selections include no fewer than seven salads, steam mussels, cold poached salmon, herb-roasted Utah turkey, roasted pineapple crepes, and hearty entrees like grilled lamb T-Bones, Christmas cod fish, sweet potatoes and beef short ribs.
At Red Rock Brewing, try the drunken float made from house-made Red Rock root beer, vanilla Haagen Dazs ice cream, and a shot of High West Double Rye Whiskey.
Deer Valley Grocery Cafe is participating with special gourmet items on offer that include tasty treat enhancers like lemon thyme sauce and cranberry chutney, and delicious sides like roasted garlic mashers, steamed green beans and roasted acorn squash and Vidalia onion bread pudding with gruyere cheese and fresh thyme. Orders must be placed by Saturday, Dec. 22, and can be picked up Monday Dec. 24, after 12 p.m. or Tuesday, Dec. 25, before 6:30 p.m.
Shabu’s renowned chef, Robert Valaika, has crafted a delicious five-course menu for New Year’s Eve that includes diver scallops, braised Korobuta pork cheeks, Wagyu beef and a trio of profiteroles with house-made ginger ice cream and chocolate coconut sauce for dessert. Reservations are available starting at 5 p.m., and they can be made online at Shabu’s website.
The Windy Ridge Bakery is also participating by offering Buche de Noel, a chocolate cake-roll filled with whipped chocolate ganache and garnished with meringue mushrooms and chocolate shavings; a classic Mile High Apple Pie made from brown Granny Smith apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, butter and a double-pastry crust; a Christmas Cookie Platter that includes 28 of The Bakery’s signature cookies; and Chocolate Decadence, a flourless chocolate cake glazed with chocolate ganache and garnished with raspberries.
