There's plenty of holiday stuff going on this weekend, like the Christkindlmarkt at This is the Place Heritage Park (check out our post on the event), but we're taking a break from that and plugging a visit to the museum.

This Saturday, at the Natural History Museum of Utah's Naturalist Lab, you can bring the kids to get up close and personal with some of Utah's creepier animals. Experts will be showing off a North American bullfrog, Great Basin gopher snake, Great Basin Spadefoot (toads) and Utah salamanders. Learn about the ecosystem and how these creatures contribute to it.

Utah's Animals events are held twice every month on the first and third Saturday from 2–3 p.m., and it's included with the price of admission. The museum is located at 301 Wakara Way, SLC.
