Take the kids to see a play on Friday night, and then show them that their art can make a difference at Utah Museum of Contemporary Art on Saturday.
The Children's Theatre
Last weekend, The Children's Theatre began showing Pippi Longstocking, which will run through Nov. 24. We highly recommend this play that tells the story of a pig-tailed girl in funny socks. And if it's a season membership you're after, you can use the $14 ticket price for Pippi toward your season membership. That offer runs now through Nov. 24.
The Children's Theatre is located at 3605 S. State Street, South Salt Lake

Utah Museum of Contemporary Art is making this weekend's Family Art Saturday extra special by using art created at the event for a large-scale installation at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Families at the free event will be given the chance to make bones from clay or paper for the installation, One Million Bones—a project designed to recognize the millions of victims and survivors who have been impacted by genocides and humanitarian crisis in Sudan, Somalia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Burma.
For each bone, the Bezos Family Foundation will donate $1 to CARE.
Family Art Saturday runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. UMOCA is located at 20 S. West Temple, SLC.
