Luna Lune's new album, Walk With Me
This Friday at 7:30 p.m., local band Luna Lune holds their album release party in support of the Forever Young Foundation and the project the foundation created for a lost band member, Sophie's Place.
The release party will also include aerial artists, a primal drum circle and appetizing food from local eateries. All proceeds will go to benefit Sophie’s Place.
Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young started the Forever Young Foundation to help kids with physical, emotional and financial challenges gain access to care and resources. The foundation established Sophie's Place in memory of Sophie Barton, a member of Luna Lune and volunteer at Primary Children's Hospital, who passed away while at a church camp at 17 years old.
"Sophie was the sunshine and I was the rain...Together we made the perfect day," says singer Tessa. The new album will be the band's first release under the name, Luna Lune.
Luna Lune's album is soulful and playful, with their diverse influences from Janice Joplin to the Talking Heads. Chas and Luke Barton, and Tony Farley accompany Tessa's haunting voice to deliver an amazing installment of indie rock.
The release party is sold out. Click here for more info on the album.
